After traveling all around Mother Russia the exhibition “Windows to Russia. Masterpieces by Seven Generations” has finally reached Moscow.
Hurry up! You’ll get a chance to look through every window only until August 12.
The central theme of the project created by The Institute of Russian Realist Art, The State Tretyakov Gallery, and Ingosstrakh Company is an image of a window. For the artists of the past decades, the window became a mirror depicting the changes, fantasies, and reveries.
Besides the paintings, the exhibition offers a multimedia performance.
Visitors are invited to look from the window of an artist’s studio and the big city apartment, rustic izba, train or car. You’ll love it!
P.S. The highlight of the project was Alexei Ananyev, the founder of the Institute of Russian Realist Art receiving the Personal Contribution Prize at the VI Annual Art Newspaper Russia Award.
