“Rodin” is a drama about the brilliant sculptor’s ascent to the top of the art world.
It is a story of art and love permeating the whole life of the artist. The plot follows the complex relationships with his talented student Camille Claudel and Rose Beuret, the mother of his only child.
Youth and passions or stability and tranquility? Where would the feelings lead Rodin?
The film was booed at the Cannes premiere, although, despite the conservative manner and traditionalism it has a distinctive charm. Unlike many other dull, conventional biopics, it shows the life of the sculpture as it is – his emotions and feelings.
