«Her Dignity» collection paintings

My Project introduces beautiful, confident and independent women. Ideally, that’s how we wish to see our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, neighbours.

In the USA, slavery was abolished over 150 years ago, and yet the human brain firmly keeps a century-old image – women, and black women in particular, will endure harassment and tolerate bullying, their main attributes remain dependency and vulnerability.

My life experience proves the point. You work hard and strive to do your best but more often than not people tend to hurt your feelings for the only apparent reason – you are a female and a black woman. It will never dawn on them that each of us in our own right is a unique universe.

Naturally, there are and will be differences between us – some people are luckier than the others, however diversity is a virtue, it is an advantage rather than a disadvantage since it brightens up our lives and gives us confidence and self-belief.

Исполинская птица Юрского периода

Jurassic giant bird

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 90×120 cm.

The swift silhouette of a woman, cutting a diagonal of the painting, is frozen with tension and barely disguised wariness, recalls disturbed bird. Bright detail-russian ushanka-sends the viewer not only to the colorful tufts of birds. Together with the large glasses they form a sort of protective mask, “Iron man” of marvel Universe. First of all orange is  the color of the sun. Thus, the woman-bird, directed towards  a luminosity, as if a superhero, tries to rescue and explain that each person can become an animal if only she does not choose the only right way for herself. In this case, it is the way to the Sun.

Girl from our tribe

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 90×120 cm.

The perspective chosen by the artist for this model is intended to impress the viewer. When the center of the lines lies inside the viewer itself , that’s when the reverse perspective of the icons thrills. Here ,on the contrary, the direct  perspective and  hyperbolic figures  create  a dizzying state, as if you look  at the millennial sequoias. The inner shyness towards the figure rising above you is generated by the gold typical of iconography. It becomes hard to believe that its not a mysterious and powerful deity  right in front of you. It’s the most ordinary human. A human, that can become as powerful as the  most powerful ancient spirit.

Loneliness in the crowd

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 90×130 cm.

Walking through life surrounded by the noisy crowds of people. People come, people go. Only you stay.

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 100×110 cm.

Ever changing nature of the society demands that you change and evolve, adapt and rediscover yourself. Show your true colors, stay true  to yourself.

I hear you with my skin

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 100×120 cm.

Words can hurt. No matter how beautiful  you are, how smart you are and how strong you are, there will always be someone  to pierce you with a  sword of painful words, no matter how thick your skin is.

Hero now

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 100×110 cm.

She takes care of everyone around her, but herself. She works  hard, she’s responsible, independent, bold and powerful, she is an all times hero – WOMAN.

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 140×100 cm.

Work hard, play even harder.

Welcome home honey

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 80×90 cm.

You travel all around the world ,meeting hundreds of people, visiting exciting places, discovering things you  never thought existed.

But there is always one person in the entire world, who is  so dear to your heart who makes you feel like you’re home anywhere and everywhere you go.

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 80×80 cm.

The blinding colors of the painting stab the eyes like a misplaced firework. The inadequacy of this riot of colors emphasizes the attentive look of this woman. As if  she wants  to tell us something , but Canary-pink layers clog her words. Did this  woman shielded herself  from all ,did she wall up her secrets by the distracting wall of color. Or was it  society that made her this way, because it wants to see the falsity  instead of person’s pain. By all accounts , it doesn’t  matter to us. The only important thing is how long this woman will be able to hide her feelings without destroying herself completely.

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 80×80 cm.

That moment when you’re surrounded by pure, raw, unmodified  feeling of happiness, that is growing from the inside out, nothing and no one can change it.

I see you with my skin

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 80×80 cm.

Sexy mouth and tongue, closed eyes. Tape lines-these pink veins of pleasure with the stream of a new ecstasy giving substance, enveloping  the neck, the cheekbones, the ears. A substance, which extends the capabilities of a woman’s senses, turns taste, sight, smell, touch into an abstract concept. This picture screams to the viewer about sensuality.

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 75×85 cm.

It’s an amazing sky blue Jean love story, a frozen moment of happiness. it seems this image is full of peace and satisfaction, it represents the spirit of love. The model’s smile blows the excessive geometric and conciseness of the picture, causing mixed feelings due to the fact that today’s pure love is becoming one of the exotic and  unreachable for a person. This is an extremely intimate, gentle and powerful portrait.

Breakfast on the grass

Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 100×120 cm.

Sisterhood, strength and support. Always by your side, always there when you need them. When you fall apart, they pick up the pieces and put the tiniest bits of your heart up together. And then they lift you up.

Oil on Canvas, 120х100 cm.

My “Mussa” is ready.
Those are my memories of growing up in Africa with my dear father. What a bright, joyful, and easy time it was.
The pink background repeats the color of a summer dawn, the color of my childhood memories and expectations.
The figure of a woman embodies beauty, peace, and motherhood. She is naked and gorgeous; there’s no need to dress up, the world is her freedom.
A rude hand gesture is her reaction to the cruel world. Beauty comes with strength.
